Pattern includes two styles in the adult size-standard and backpacker and
one style in the child size- standard style. The backpacker style has
snaps along the bottom in order to shorten poncho when not wearing pack.
Each style has hood with drawcord, visor, gusset and snaps along the sides.
Suggested fabrics: Outer fabric: Waterproof (coated
taffetac coated ripstop). Stiffener fabric: Heavy clear vinyl, plastic
canvas, plastic milk jug.

Combines the better
features of a parka and a poncho. The Parcho provides versatile,
comfortable protection for the hiker and backpacker over a wide range of
weather conditions. Size is adjustable to fit both your body and
your pack. High to low ventilation options. The medium size
weighs a mere 7 1/2 oz. and rolls up to the size of a hot dog roll.
Unique cape-like arms cover hands while allowing full use of hands
outside and full access inside to shoulder straps, hipbelt, zipper and
pockets. There is even room inside to remove your pack, adjust
clothing and put the pack back on. Large pockets provide dry
storage for extra clothing, maps etc. Hood volume is
adjustable. Covers to just about the knees or adjusts to
your needs.

Backpack version (avg. male hiker sz)= ~ 7.5 oz.
Non-Pack version (avg. male hiker sz)= ~ 6.5 oz
