This buckle was written up in the October 2002 issue of Backpacker magazine.  The whistleloc buckle can be used for a sternum strap.  The buckle is orange in color and is a side release.  The whistle has 106 decibels.  This buckle has been very popular with search and rescue teams and boy and girl scouts.
